I am delighted by the election of the Rt. Rev. Dr. Foley Beach as Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America and am confident that the Holy Spirit led the College of Bishops’ process. I admire Archbishop-elect Beach’s deep faith, his servant’s heart, and his commitment to the Anglican Church in North America, and I look forward to working with him. This is an exciting time in our corporate life, but the role of Archbishop is a challenging and demanding one. I ask you to pray regularly and fervently for Archbishop-elect Beach, the College of Bishops, and all leaders of our Church as we look toward the future.
In addition, I want to express my thanksgiving for the tenure and leadership of Archbishop Duncan and wish him all the best as he continues his ministry as Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. May the Lord richly bless his work and that of Archbishop-elect Beach, and may the Spirit guide and direct us all as we seek to build for the Kingdom of God.
