Bishop Todd Hunter has crisscrossed our Diocese in the last several months, visiting congregations, preaching and celebrating a number of significant events, indicating the growth and momentum that characterizes C4SO. On February 9, he installed the Very Rev. Michael Swanson, founding rector of In the Vine Church, Fullerton, as Dean of the Southern California Deanery. On March 1, Bishop Todd was in northern California where he installed the Very Rev. Ed McNeill as Dean of the NorCal Deanery and ordained the Rev. Ryan Jones to the Sacred Order of Deacons.

While visiting Christ Church Anglican, Overland Park, Kansas, on April 27, Bishop Todd presided at morning worship services, which included baptisms, confirmations and receptions. Sunday afternoon, he installed the Very Rev. Patrick Wildman as Dean of the Kansas and Missouri Deanery and the Rev. Porter C. Taylor as the Bishop’s Deputy. On Sunday afternoon, he ordained the Reverends Dean Behrens and Gene Flannery to the Sacred Order of Priests, and later that evening, led a service of institution of Fr. Flannery as Rector of the Mission of St. Luke, Kansas City, Kansas.

Bishop Todd conducted confirmations at Christ Church Plano and ordained the Rev. Brian Pape to the Sacred Order of Priests on Saturday, May 17, and during Sunday’s worship service, installed the Very Rev. Canon David H. Roseberry as Dean serving the Texas Deanery.
